The NBA has announced its Board of Governors and the National Basketball Players Association approved a competitive format to restart the 2019-20 season with 22 teams planning to return to play. With fairness in mind, as well as a narrowed player pool as a result of the new restart format, we have determined the best outcome for all is to conclude the 2019-20 Yahoo Fantasy Basketball season.
We will apply the current standings as final. Please see the NBA 2019-20 End of Season FAQ below for more information, including Pro League and Cash League details.
I am in a Yahoo Fantasy Basketball Pro League – why are there refunds instead of prize payouts?
Due to the unprecedented ending of the NBA regular season, we cannot finish the fantasy season as defined in our Official Rules. Due to regulations applicable to paid fantasy contests, we are unable to alter payout structures after the leagues have started. Since the fantasy season did not complete as expected, we are refunding all users. We appreciate your understanding.
My Yahoo Fantasy Basketball league has a Cash League contest — will Yahoo Fantasy issue refunds or payout winners?
All private leagues with a cash league contest will have the contest canceled.
League members will be issued a refund in their Fantasy Wallet.
Reach out to your league commissioner to address questions or concerns.
I am in a Daily Fantasy Contest/League — what will happen?
The season will proceed as normal.
Can I hide this season from my profile?
The season will appear as any other season. However, we are looking into adding an indicator for any seasons impacted by cancelation, lockout, etc.
Will this season affect my Yahoo Fantasy Basketball Level/Rating?
Incomplete matchups will be discarded. If your league is ending, your level and rating are final until next season. This level and rating already accounts for any completed regular season and playoff matchups.
Thanks for playing Yahoo Fantasy Basketball. We can’t wait for the 2020-21 season! See you then.
