Joel Embiid acknowledges unusual birthday circumstances, asks Sixers fans to Trust the Process

It’s been less than a week since Joel Embiid had 30 points and 14 rebounds in his return from a five-game absence with a left shoulder sprain in the Sixers‘ win over the Pistons

If everything had proceeded as normal, Embiid and the Sixers would have played the Wizards on Monday night.

It didn’t, of course, with the NBA season now on hiatus because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Embiid turned 26 years old Monday under those unusual circumstances, and he sent out a message to his followers on social media accompanied by a few old photos of himself.

Though he’s only played in 202 regular-season games since being drafted No. 3 by the Sixers in 2014, Embiid has become one of the major sports figures in Philadelphia, a three-time All-Star who, as he’s said and shown many times, loves to have fun.

You can watch the video above for a look back at the funniest moments so far in Embiid’s NBA career.
